GLUTATHIONE

Glutathione its active reduced form, protects cells from damage by radicals by reducing reactive oxygen compounds. Glutathione is oxidized in the process. The ratio of reduced (GSH) to oxidized glutathione (GSSG) shows the detoxification capacity of the cells.
